Frequently Asked Questions
01. How much does it cost?
At Latitude Wellness the cost of the orthotic insert is $475.00. In order to get the inserts- you need to book in for a Biomechanical Assessment which is $130.
*The cost of the Biomechanical Assessment can be directly billed to your benefits if you have chiropractic coverge
02. Does Insurance cover the cost of the Orthotic Insert?
Yes. If you have coverage for chiropractic care, our orthotics are prescribed by a chiropractor. In addition, our chiropractor can also provide you with any additional information your insurance company might need, such as a referral or a biomechanical assessment.
03. How long do custom foot orthotics last?
There is no strict timeline for the life of orthotics; it is largely dependent on how often you use them and on the scope of the issues in your feet. Generally speaking, however, custom orthotics last anywhere from 3 – 5 years. If you experience an increase in pain or discomfort after having orthotics for a long time, it may be time to replace them.
04. Should orthotics hurt at first?
This is largely dependent on the person. For some, orthotics provide instant relief from pain. For others, orthotics can cause some discomfort at first because your foot is adjusting to being and moving in the correct way. However, any pain and/or discomfort will subside as you adjust to your orthotics.
Once your orthotics arrive at the clinic, our admin team will reach out to schedule a fitting. The cost of the fitting is included in the cost of the orthotics.
05. Who needs orthotics?
Almost anyone can benefit from orthotics as improperly supported feet are very common. Orthotics can also benefit anyone suffering from metatarsalgia, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, bunions, hammer toes, bursitis, heel pain, hip pain, knee pain, high arches (cavus foot), flat feet (pes planus), fallen arches and more
